Thirteen students attended Close Up in Washington, D.C. this past week, learning about our government and touring the city. One of the highlights was attending the Nebraska Breakfast with all five Congressional Members present and having a meeting with Representative Flood at his office. It was a great week for the #milfordsoar students!

#MilfordSoar HS Quiz Bowl are back-to-back champs of ESU6’s Division 2 competition! They competed in Seward today to bring home the golden trophy, going undefeated in round robin this morning and continuing their streak through the tournament play.
Special shout-out to Nolan Eickhoff who completed his last competition with Milford. Nolan has been part of the team throughout his high school career. In this tournament alone, he scored 510 individual points for the team and had an impressive 75% accuracy, and this is not including his contributions during bonus questions where the team is allowed to discuss answers.
While this is the end of the regular season for the high school, Milford’s junior high Quiz Bowl team will return to Seward next week for their ESU6 tournament.

#Milfordsoar went 4-0 earning a total score of 315 to secure the #1 seed in the tournament this afternoon! (Due to the odd number of teams, Milford played an extra round and our lowest score was dropped.) This tournament will determine which team will continue to State Quiz Bowl.

The Milford Elementary K Kids Club has kicked off their Krispy Kreme Donut Fundraiser. Club members will be selling Krispy Kreme original glazed donuts for $13.50 a dozen. Our club earns 50% profit from our sales. Donuts will be delivered on Friday, April 7. The proceeds from this fundraising effort will go to support club projects and events. The #Milfordsoar ProStart team spent the weekend at the Institute of Culinary Arts in Omaha to prepare and elevate their skills for nationals! What an amazing family of chef mentors volunteering their weekend to help write Milford’s story!
