Thank you for your interest in working at Milford Public Schools. The first step in the process is to immediately send a letter of interest and a resume to the District for an advertised position. Suitable resumes will include teaching experience, degree(s) earned, student teaching experience, other work experience and references.
The second step is to complete an application form. These downloadable forms can be found at the bottom of this page. The application is a Word document and may be completed by filling in the required information. Candidates are encouraged to save the document to their computer. Please be sure to complete all sections before mailing or emailing.

Upon completion of a screening process, selected applicants will be called for an interview. The interview process may include an interview with the building principal, a selected team of teachers, and other district administrators.
The candidates selected for the teaching positions will be notified by phone and will have a specified, limited time to respond to a contract offer. When an offer is accepted, the contract will be submitted to the Milford Public Schools Board of Education at their next regularly scheduled meeting for approval.
Please understand, because of the number of candidates, we are unable to notify each candidate of his or her current status. However, an applicant may contact the District regarding the status of the vacancy. Applicants who have interviewed for a position will be informed of the final selection.

Milford Junior/Senior High School is accepting applications for the following positions for the 2022-23 School Year.
Activities Director Combined with Half-Time 7-12 Teacher
This position will include half-time teaching. Teaching assignments will be dependent on applicant experiences and/or endorsements.
The responsibilities of the Activities Director will include scheduling of activities and athletic contests, management of the school calendar, coordinating staffing for events, coordinating with booster clubs and community groups, and the supervision of evening and weekend activities with other members of the administrative team.
Successful applicants will be able to develop positive relationships with others, be self motivated, demonstrate effective communication skills, be willing to set high expectations and standards, and be able to work both independently as well as part of a team. Supervisory and coaching/sponsorship experience is a plus. Preferred candidates will possess, or be able to achieve a Nebraska administrative certificate.
The potential of coaching and sponsorship opportunities are available but not required. Any coaching would be limited to one season due to the demands of being an Activities Director.

7-12 Special Education Teacher
Ability to maximize the learning experience of students with special needs in academics, interpersonal skills, behaviors, and/or activities of daily living.
Ability to establish, implement, and evaluate behavior management techniques/plans.
Skill in using data to drive instructional decisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with parents.
Ability to work collaboratively with general classroom staff.
Ability to effectively lead IEP meetings to communicate individual learning goals to parents, teachers and administration as required by the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Strong organization skills to maintain accurate and complete records as required by laws, policies, and regulations.
Experience in life skills and transition services is preferred.
Due to growth, Milford Public Schools is searching for a 7-12 Teacher.
The following 7-12 endorsements will be considered: ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, or any career and technical education endorsement.
