Early Childhood Special Education Services
The Milford Public Schools Early Intervention team is available to any family who has questions
or concerns regarding their child's development, birth to age 5. These concerns may include,
but are not limited to: speech, gross and fine motor development, cognitive development,
hearing, vision, and behavior.
If you have concerns in any of the above mentioned developmental domains, please call
or email the Early Development Network (children two years of age or younger), or Milford
Public Schools (children three-to-five years of age) to begin the evaluation process. Once the
referral has been made, you will be contacted either by the Services Coordinator from the
Early Development Network, or a member of the school team. After the Services Coordinator
or the school team member speaks with the parents regarding their concerns, a formal
evaluation may be completed by the school district. After the completion of the evaluation, a
need for special education services will be determined by the Early Intervention team, which
includes the family. If your child were to qualify for services, these services would be provided
at no cost to your family.
Referrals for children birth to age 2 are made through the Early Development Network at
Education Service Unit #6 in Milford. The contact information is (402) 761-3341 or (800) 327-
0091. You may also contact Marian Eicher at email@example.com.
Referrals for children 3 to 5 years of age are made to the Milford Elementary School. You may
contact Leah Albers at 402-761-2408, or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are here to help families throughout the Milford Public School District. Please do not
hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have.
