Junior High Band Students Chosen for Honor Group

Each year, hundreds of students from eastern Nebraska audition to be part of the annual Meridian Junior High Honor Band held each year in Daykin, Nebraska. Students are recorded playing a prepared piece and chosen for technical ability, musicianship.

This year Milford Junior High will be represented by six outstanding Band students.

Cecelia Bialas - Clarinet (chosen as 1st chair for the honor band)

Abby Reitz - Clarinet

Samantha Johns - Clarinet

Abby Jeppesen - Clarinet

Jacob Roth - Alto Saxophone

Ethan Ross - Baritone Saxophone (chosen as 1st chair for the honor band)

Students travel to Daykin on April 13th and rehearse that afternoon with the honor band. A final concert is presented in the Meridian Gymnasium that evening. The performance is open to the public.
