Nebraska Soybeans Presentation
The fourth graders at Milford Elementary enjoyed an interesting presentation about soybeans. In social studies, the students have been studying about important Nebraska crops. To help understand how critical soybean crops are to the state, Joy Ullstrom from the Nebraska Soybean Board visited the school to share information with the students. She stopped by on February 18 and 19 for the presentation and brought with her many products made from soybeans. The students were fascinated by the facts they learned and had a great time playing a soybean trivia game. Many students agreed that the most interesting fact was that Nebraska’s yearly soybean crop could fill Memorial Stadium nine times! We appreciate Joy Ullstrom stopping by teaching us about soybeans!
