Members of the Milford ProStart Culinary Team and Plating teams demonstrated their skills for parents and the media on March 23. Each member of the culinary team must demonstrate certain knife cuts during the "mis en place" prep time.
They then prepare a three course gourmet meal within an hour on two butane burners. Plating contestants are entered in fruit sculpture, gingerbread, scratch desserts, prepared desserts, chocolate sculptures and knife skills. State ProStart competition will be held at Hastings Community College on Saturday, March 28.The Click on the first picture to see a short slideshow.
