CONGRATS!
Congratulations to the cross country team and coaches for qualifying for the State Meet. The girls placed seventh as a team at State and the boys placed ninth. The State Meet was held in Kearney.
The girls were led by Allison Spath's 17th place finish. Allison was just two postitions from earning a medal. She was followed by Sally McCall in 36th with Andi Kontor right behind her in 37th. Senior Marisa Esch was next in 79th. Marisa has been slowed due to injuries the last part of the season. Those four runners counted for the team scoring as in CC you only count your top four finishers. Toni Havlet and Stephanie Burianek were the other Eagle runners.
The boys team finished ninth in the team standing. They were led by senior Stephan Christensen who finished 31st.Next was Dillon Williams in 39th and Derek Tegtmeier at 64th. Justin Larson finished the team scoring in 78th. Mitchell Martin and Jacob Weber rounded out the boys team.
It was a great season for both teams with several top finishes.
Congratulations to Coach Kontor for another great season.
