African Childrens Choir Performs At Milford

We were privileged to be able to host an international children's choir from Africa. The Matsiko Choir is made up of some of Uganda's poorest and most at risk children. Some are orphans and some lived in the garbage dumps. Their parents were too poor to feed them much less pay for schooling. The goal of this African Children's Choir is to raise awareness of the need of destitute and orphaned children in Africa and to raise funds for continued development and support of the Choir's relief and development programs.
The choir of 40 students ate lunch in the Milford Elementary cafeteria. 4 K-Kids Officers, Isabel DeAyala, Dalton Bluhm, Christian Martin, and Jensyn Meyer, served as greeters and hosts. At 1:45, they performed a free concert in the high school auditorium for the elementary students. An additional concert was planned for 7:00 at the United Methodist Church.
