Retreat Agenda for Monday, May 12th, 2008
5:30 p.m. at Milford Elementary Building


This meeting is held in compliance with the State's Open Meeting Laws and is held for the board of education members to receive, develop and/or discuss information relevant to conducting the school district's business. An agenda of discussion items will be prepared for each work session meeting even though no formal action or voting will take place on any item. The board may elect to move into a closed Executive Session when necessary to further discuss any item related to personnel, negotiations, student related or any matter concerning litigation.

The mission of the Milford Public Schools is to educate all students by providing a flexible and varied educational program committed to excellence and empowering the students to become responsible citizens.

1. Call Retreat to order

2. Information concerning the Open Meeting Law, Chapter 84, Article 14 of Nebraska State Statutes, is posted on the marker board located on the north wall of the music room

6. Executive Session
The Board of Education reserves the right to enter into Closed/Executive Session for 1) the protection of the public interest, or 2) the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual, and/or the individual has not requested a public meeting. When making a motion to enter into Closed/Executive Session, the member making the motion should be as specific as possible as to the reason(s) for executive session. The Board President will restate the reason for Closed/Executive Session after the motion has been acted on.

This agenda contains a list of subjects known at the time of its distribution. A copy of the agenda reflecting any changes will be available for public inspection during normal business hours in the District Office.
