                        Doane College Physics Olympics

On March 11, 2008, sixteen physics students from Milford High School attended the annual Doane College Physics along with five other schools. The students participated in three different events: “Lego Maniacs” where the one student was shown a lego object and then had to write directions from which the other students used to reconstruct the object; “Do Drop that Egg” where students had to design a container to protect their egg from a 80 ft drop off the bell tower and then hit a target below; and “Rat Race” where the students had to construct a mousetrap car and make it go far.
The Milford students had a fun, challenging and successful day. They brought home six trophies: 2nd and 3rd place Overall, 1st and 3rd place in Lego Maniacs, 2nd and 1st place in Rat Race.

This day is a day for the students to be challenged academically while having fun.
