Milford English 10 Enters Poetry Contest.

Visiting Poet
Mrs. Meyer’s English 10 students recently had the opportunity to host a visiting artist in their classroom. Pippa White visited Milford High School on Friday February 1st and shared with the sophomores her gift of oral presentation and poetry. All sophomores are currently participating in the National Poetry Outloud competition. Poetry Outloud is a national competition where students learn about the art of not only poetry but also recitation. Pippa White shared the necessary three P’s of oral presentation: pacing, pause and pitch.
A speak off with the 10 finalists will be held next Friday, February 22nd in the high school auditorium. The 10 sophomore finalists are:
