REGULAR BOARD MEETING
February 11, 2008

President Welsch called the regular meeting of the Board of Education to order.
Administration: Kevin Wingard, Superintendent, T.J. Meyer, Secondary Principal, Penny Jans, Elementary Principal, Mark Olson, Curriculum Coordinator.
Roll Call: Present - Dave Welsch, John Aden, Larry Lindquist, Jim Stahly, Karen Stauffer, Tony Roth.
Guests: Nancy Swarts, Rose Kenney, Cheryl Skillman.
President Welsch drew attention to the Nebraska open meeting law posted on the wall.
Public Comments: None
Approved minutes from the January 14 meeting.
Approved February expenditures - General Fund - $454,550.24; Employee Benefit - $360.
Mr. Wingard gave an updated legislative report; Milford will host the conference track meet on April 26, State aid increase of $308,366.
Reviewed student enrollment numbers.
Building project is still on schedule.
Reviewed the 2008-09 school calendar and will approve at the March meeting.
Superintendent evaluation, Principal's and Curriculum Director's contract moved to executive session.
Approved Nebraska Association of School Boards membership.
Accepted the resignation of Erin Mohring with thanks for her five years of service to Milford Public Schools.
Approved option enrollment requests.
Set drivers education fee at $215 for district residents and approved option students and $250 for students outside the district.
Entered executive session for the purpose of discussing Superintendent's evaluation and set Administrator contracts. Executive session is necessary for the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual.
Returned to regular session
Adjourned regular session.
