Band News!

February and March bring exciting events from the Instrumental Music department. On Thursday, February 7th Mr. Goddard presents a Band concert featuring all 265 of his students in grades 5 - 12. This event has come to be known as “The Big One”. Because of the size, it will be held in the North Gymnasium and start at 7:30 p.m. Pirates, Regiments, Nobility, the Caribbean... you name it - we got it! This one is always a must-see!

On March 13th, Milford will host its annual Junior High Music Festival at the High School featuring vocal and instrumental music students from Milford, Centennial and Wilber-Clatonia. Solos, small ensembles and large groups will perform and the event is open and free to the public. The festival starts at 4:00 p.m. and will end approximately 8:30 p.m.

Pep Band continues to be one of the High School Band’s favorite activities. Come and join us as we help root our basketball teams to victory! Don’t forget to bring your earplugs :-)

The Fine Arts Boosters helped us recently wrap up our annual Cookie Dough fund raiser. As of this writing we have sold over 2100 buckets! The students wish to thank the community for supporting them as they prepare for an exciting trip to Chicago in 2011.
