REGULAR BOARD MEETING
OCTOBER 8, 2007

President Welsch called the regular meeting of the Board of Education to order.
Administration: Kevin Wingard, Superintendent, T.J. Meyer, Secondary Principal, Penny Jans, Elementary Principal, Mark Olson, Curriculum Coordinator.
Roll Call: Present – Dave Welsch, John Aden, Larry Lindquist, Jim Stahly, Karen Stauffer, Tony Roth.
Guests: Phil Goddard, Nancy Swarts, Shirley Heckman.
President Welsch drew attention to the Nebraska open meeting law posted on the wall.
Public Comments: None
Approved minutes from the September 10 meeting.
Approved October expenditures – General Fund - $468,587.48; Employee Benefit - $360.
Mr. Meyer – The softball team is headed to state, There will be early dismissal on Thursday and no school on Friday.
The Veterans Day program will be held November 12.
Mark Olson reported on the professional learning committees.
Reviewed student and option enrollment numbers.
The architects and contractor will meet on Thursday morning with board members and administration.
Approved interlocal agreement for Internet access.
Appointed Larry Lindquist as NASB delegate representative. Carry 5 – 1 Abstain. For Karen Stauffer, Tony Roth, John Aden, Dave Welsch, Jim Stahly. Abstain – Larry Lindquist.
Entered executive session to discuss extra duty assignments and litigation.
Returned to regular session
Adjourned regular session.
