by Amanda Hovendick

March 27, 2007

Milford High School qualified 11 students who participated in the Nebraska State High School Speech Tournament.  Those students were:  Brandy Frey, Josh Wiley, Clee Shy, Shannon Arena, Chase Jones, Alex Hull, Brad Rediger, Savana Riley, Sarah Penry, Cori Curtis, and Hannah Troyer.

The tournament was held at Kearney on March 15, 2007.  Each qualifier performed twice in the preliminary rounds to determine contestants in final competition.  Usually the top six contestants make it into finals; in case of a tie, then there are more finalists.
