Milford Qualifies Twelve For State

 

Milford High School hosted the Class C District Speech Competition on February 27, 2007.  Seven teams, Tri County, Lincoln Lutheran, Lincoln Christian, Palmyra, Wilber-Claytonia, Malcolm, and Milford competed in the event.  Milford students placing at districts were:  Cassie Aldelt, 4^th in informative; Alicia Roth, 3^rd in humorous prose; Elizabeth Johnson, 3^rd in extemporaneous.

 

Those who qualified for state are:  Clee Shy, 2^nd in humorous prose; Hannah Troyer, 2^nd in poetry; Sarah Penry, 2^nd in persuasive; Brandy Frey, 2^nd in entertainment; Cori Curtis, 1^st in both persuasive and poetry; Brad Rediger, 1^st in informative; Brad Rediger and Savana Riley, 1^st in duet acting; Alex Hull, 1^st in extemporaneous; Chase Jones, Savana Riley, Clee Shy and Shannon Arena, 1^st in Oral interpretation of drama; and Josh Wiley, 1^st in entertainment.

State competition was held at UNK on March 15.  The results of the state competition will be available as soon as the team returns home.
