FCCLA NEWS

            The fourth annual Community Blood Bank Drive sponsored by Milford FCCLA was held on November 13, 2006. Donations began at 8:30 in the morning and continued until 2:30 in the afternoon. The FCCLA officers were in charge of finding people willing to donate. The Community Blood Bank Drive held in Milford had the highest percentage of donors.  On Friday, January 26, 2007 three officers, President Whitney Danekas, Vice President Ashley Stutzman, and Secretary/Treasure Ariel Heckman, received an award from a representative of the Community Blood Bank for having the highest amount of donors. FCCLA members wish to thank everyone for participating in this annual Community Blood Bank Drive.

It’s time for FCCLA week! FCCLA week will be the week of  February 12^th –February 16^th. FCCLA members will be traveling to Lincoln on Monday, February 12^th for their monthly meeting to eat at Valentino's Buffet.  During FCCLA week members will be baking cookies and handing them out for teacher appreciation.  The members want to show thanks to all of their teachers for all their hard work and time.

On February 26, 2007 FCCLA members will be traveling to Kearney for the annual Peer Ed Conference. At this conference a group of FCCLA members will be attending meetings and listening to speakers.  One FCCLA member, Vice President Ashley Stutzman, is a member of the Peer Ed Team Student Body.  As a team member she had to responsibility help plan out what will be happening on February 26^th at the Peer Ed Conference. FCCLA chapters from all surrounding towns will also be joining the Milford FCCLA Chapter in Kearney.
