Milford Public Schools Board of Education

2007-08 Committee Assignments

by Megan Roth

January 23, 2007

Welcome to the Milford School District #5 website. The Milford Community Schools Board of Education is made up of six elected district patrons. Board members serve a four year term. They volunteer their time to represent our communities at regular business and committee meetings. Board members also serve on a variety of district committees and attend many school activities.

The School Board is a policy-making, planning, and appraisal body with an educational vision that sets the course for the entire school district. The board maintains and enhances local control through a set of policies that reflect the thoughts, desires, and attitudes of the Board and the communities.

Regular monthly meetings of the Board of Education are scheduled on the second Monday of every month. The meetings are held in the Milford Elementary School music room. Meeting times are 7:00 p.m. for the months of November, December, February, and March, at 7:30 p.m. for the months of April through October, and at 4:00 p.m. for the month of January. Changes in times will be stated on the meeting notice that appears on the website and in the Milford Times.
