Dr. William Shimeall was a recent contributor to the Milford Schools Staff and Faculty Scholarship Endowment Fund Drive. He said that he has often thought back to his education at Milford Public Schools and remembers many great teachers who have helped him over the years. Foremost among those were Joyce Caleca who taught English and Literature. He stated that more than any other thing, she fostered a passion for life-long learning that is still with him today. Her unswerving devotion to teaching and to encouraging his aspirations truly set her apart and made his education at Miford Junior/Senior High School (1980-1986) both memorable and invaluable. It is with great gratitutde and praise that he contributed to the Faculty Endowment Fund in Joyce Caleca's name. Dr. Shimeall is a Lieutenant Commander in the Medical Corps, United States Navy.
